  3. <hi style=afpcap>The A-7D Corsair II entered service with the Air Force in 1970, with the Detachment 1, 57th Fighter Weapons Wing at Luke AFB, Arizona as the operational test and evaluation unit. The first Tactical Flying Wing to receive the A-7D was the 354th which reformed at Myrtle Beach AFB, South Carolina in June 1970 in preparation for the first assignment. Meanwhile the 57th FWW receive its own aircraft at Nellis AFB, Nevada during 1972, with four seen in formation wearing the standard green and tan 'Vietnam' style camouflage with white tail code and serial presentation.</hi>
